How do they work?

We have 3 styles of cooling vests which work in different ways to help you keep your cool.

Evaporative Cooling Vest

These use the natural effect of evaporation to cool you down. When these vests are placed into water the specially made non-toxic material absorbs hundreds of times its weight in water. This stored water is then slowly released. In hot areas this water will start to evaporate. As it does it the heat from the wearer is transferred into the air helping to reduce your temperature.

Light weight.
Easy to use throughout the day. If it dries out all you have to do is submerge in to water for hours more cooling.
No electricity is required making them perfect for people on the move.
The most affordable form of cooling vest.

Phase Changing Vests

These non-toxic vests have a large pocket front and back in which a refrigerated, frozen, water or air conditioned cooled pack can be inserted. This flexible cooled pack will then help reduce the wearers’ temperature for up to 4 hours. These inserts can be refrozen as and when necessary. Each vest comes with one set of packs. For all day cooling we suggest ordering extra packs which can be kept in a freezer or cooler until it is necessary to exchange them.

Hard wearing.
Works in high humidity.
Each cool pack can be reused.
Does not produce condensation.
Typically provides a cooler temperature than evaporative cooling vests.

Cooling vest. BEST EVER

Once again it's for my wife and her delivering mail. She gets so hot from our AZ heat, she says this is the very best year so far. This vest keeps her cool it lasts for 6 hrs OR so. Just soak in water and it's ready again. She comes home wet but cool from her long day in t he Sun. Can't wait for the hyperkewl hat to come too

Easy to use just soak in water and lasts for 6 to 7 hrs.

Bring extra water but well worth the effort.

Lifesaver vest in Texas

Wow! I can be on the job longer in the Texas heat and get more work completed in a day! Let me start off with I own Wright-Phillips Services a demolition and lot clearing business in Abilene Texas. We are in the heat all day 5 days a week. I purchased these vests to try out to try and help my employees stay cool. They work great! Stays cool for 3 hours+ in Texas 100+ degrees. I will continue to buy this product.

Well made but runs small

I ordered a small, my usual size, but it’s too snug. I’ll have to return it. It’s odd because my friend has a small from the same company and it’s roomy on me. I don’t understand. It is well made though.

Living in South Florida, I was encouraged to check out the cooling vests. I teach yoga outdoors and like to attend to my garden as well as just being outside. The product works great to help lower body temperature and make conditions a little more tolerable when I teach an outdoor class.

I ordered a XL based on the measurements provided and it's WAY to big on me. There's stretch material on the sides and elastic in the back, so I would order a size under your measurements for it to actually fit against your body.

It really works

I have been using the vest for about a week in over 90 degree weather. It keeps me cooler for sure. It is easy to use, just soak it in cold water for 2 min, wring it out and put it on. I wear it while riding horses, cleaning stalls, working in the garden and hiking. I am staying much cooler and don't come in the house totally sweaty. It is made of good quality material and looks nice. It looks like a regular vest. It doesn't get the shirt underneath wet, as long as you wring it out.

Good Product

It fits well. the size chart was accurate. I've only tried it out once so far, but it worked perfectly to keep me cool while mowing my lawn. I have MS so keeping my core cold/cool is a must.
I look forward to use it for when I ride my motorcycle. Only thing is you have to wear dark clothes because they will get damp/wet. I don't mind because it's a cool wet, not a muggy wet.

Should have bought this years ago

When the the wind is blowing hard, like it does a lot in Kansas, and the temperature is up into the mid 90's, you will need to re-wet the vest at about 3 hour intervals. Having said that, it is soooo worth the effort.

I wore this vest as I crossed the Mojave desert on my motorcycle.. It was really unbelievable and made the trip much more pleasurable. I really works!!! And is very flattering as well.

This is my 5th vest, and I get a new one each season. Unfortunately, it arrived after summer was over, but I'm set for next season.

Pros

Great cooling, keeps the core much cooler than just a sunshirt
Fits well(women's)
Good for any outdoor activity

Cons

With regular use (2-3 times/week for 2 1/2 months) it lasts just one season
Latest order took 5 weeks to get, so summer was over.

Coolness!!

Here in South Florida riding you motorcycle in the summer can be a lot of fun but brutal!! I was skeptical that a -wet vest- would keep me cool. It worked!! Took a few tries to figure out exactly how -wet- to make it, but I was envied by my fellow riders who have older versions that only soak you. Great product!!
