The AlphaCool Polar Cooling Vest is designed to keep you cool and comfortable in hot weather and warm working conditions. The unique design of this ice vest allows you to simply slip it on and instantly cool your core temperature to reduce the dangerous effects of heat stress. This ultra-thin cooling vest remains flexible at any temperature for ultimate comfort and temperature regulation because it stays close to your body at all times. Filled with our water-based AlphaCool gel, this cooling vest will stay cool for almost 2 hours and can be stored in either the refrigerator or freezer for instant use. This vest is great for staying cool while working in hot conditions, as well as while doing everyday tasks like gardening, walking the dog, and mowing the yard.

    Good value upgrade from the basic vest

    If you've used the Original vest and found the cooling duration too short, the Polar is the right step up. The insulated shell genuinely extends the cold window. Not dramatically but consistently noticeable. For the modest price difference from the basic version it's the right call for anyone using this vest regularly.

    Reliable cooling, plan for overnight freeze

    For the best performance freeze overnight rather than doing a quick 1-hour freeze. The insulated shell keeps the cold in longer when the gel is fully frozen versus partially frozen. Build the overnight freeze into your routine and you get consistent 2-hour performance every time. Good product that rewards a little planning.

    Great for outdoor event work all summer

    I manage outdoor summer events and wear this vest through setup shifts. The thin profile goes under my staff shirt without adding bulk and the 2-hour window covers my heaviest work period.     Great for my MS heat management

    Insulated shell keeps the cold in longer

    The nylon insulation shell is what separates the Polar from cheaper ice vests. The insulation slows the heat transfer from your body into the gel, which means the cooling lasts noticeably longer. I get a consistent 90 minutes to 2 hours even on hot days. Worth the few extra dollars over the basic version.
