TechKewl Elite Hybrid Sport Phase Change Cooling Vest

I wore the cooling vest while road racing and running the speed stop challenge at the June Optima Challenge at NCM. It kept me plenty cool for over 2-1/2 hours under my 2 layer fire suit without refreezing the inserts. A lot less expensive and less cumbersome than a conventional cool shirt.

I am a NFL Super fan. I won't say the name of my team. But our home games are down south where it gets plenty hot. My costume consist of Firefighting gear and helmet. So I wouldn't be able to wear full turnout gear for very long without sweating profusely. I also have face paint that I wear with my turnout gear. So sweating would completely ruin the face paint and would not be a good look. I heard about these vest a did my own research reading reviews before purchasing. I decided to go with the Techkewl cooling vest phase changing cooling vest. I absolutely loved it. This vest not only kept me cool, but kept me from sweating profusely. On especially hot days, I could take off my coat and soak my inserts in some ice water for 15 or 20 mins, and they would be ready to go for another 3 to 4 hours. The product arrived on time. The storage bag is awesome. Everything about the cooking vest is exactly what it says it was stated. I am a very large man and I got the 3X vest. It fits but it’s snug. I wished it came in a 4X.

We have tried other ice vests and they are always too big for my Son. This is the only ice vest that goes to xsmall for kids that have grown out of the child ice vest and it is working great for us. He has a reduced ability to sweat so this is great for trampoline parks and just general P.E. at school.

This vest is a god send when outside in the Arizona heat. It fits as expected, is light weight, and does not get wet as the gel packs melt. It defiantly keeps your core from overheating and getting into distress. Would recommend to anyone who is sensitive to the heat.

I used it under my motorcycle jacket with full crash gear on a 97 degree day and I couldn't believe how cool it kept me. The more airflow through my jacket the cooler I got to the point of chilly. I would close off venting to not be so cold. Highly recommend getting another set of cooling tubes so you can ride even longer.

The vests seem well designed and well constructed. They come in a carrying bag which is convenient. I dinged one star as the sizing chart is off and the customer support didn't help. I wear a size Large/42 jacket. According to the chart online I should order an XXL vest. This didn't seem right so I called in to speak with a customer support agent who merely read off the website and provided no experiential feedback. At her's and the site's suggestion I ordered the XXL- which is way too big. It fit more like a size 46-48 suit jacket.

The exchange process was easy and they were very responsive to the request that they pay for shipping but the size chart should be amended.

We have owned this product for 3 years. It was purchased for my daughter as she entered High School for a medical condition. I thought there was little chance she would wear it. But she did and still does 3 years later. She feels so much better in the warm months of school that any fear she had about what the other kid's would think became non-existent. This vest had a slim style, we saw it on soccer players during the World Cup, which made it more acceptable. I searched and searched for something to help my daughter - it was a hard decision but I made the CORRECT one! The cost seemed high but it has worked flawlessly, and we have had no issues in 3 years. I am on the site again to possibly get her a second one. We always use the cool packs but I really liked the idea that we could get it wet and have the evaporative cooling effect if we were not near an area to cool the packs.

We bought these for all of our roofing crew and they love it!
